Ken,
If you don't have a wholesale account with Merrick, Summer Moon will get what you need from them for you. Re: rod butt balancer

I obtained one of the ballance kits from BPS. What i did was make the female end. First I put some reel grease on the male end including theads and flang, then took piece of plastic wrap form kitchen. poked small hole in plastic pushed male theads through. mixed enough epoxy to creat a 3/4" plug in the end of the rod. Put the ballancer on the end of rod pulled plastic wrap up over handle. Taped ballancer and wrap to handle stood rod in corner, to cure over night. Grease keeps epoxy from sticking to theads. plastic wrap keeps epoxy contained in rod. Once cured, you have threaded female end. Did not worry about extra wieght epoxy it was creating because I was adding wieght to end of rod anyway Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
