I'm looking for a 4 pc 7wt blank for bass. I'm currently using a Loomis IMX 2pc and like it, but I don't think that the IMX comes in a 4pc. Any suggestions for a mod/fast to fast 4pc blank? What about Dan Craft blanks? I'm not at all familiar with these blanks. Any input is welcome. Thanks, E... Re: fly blank suggestions

Plenty to choose from. The St. Croix SCIV are great. Used to come in 3 pieces, I think they have a 4 piece model now. They're among my very favorites. Dan Craft's blanks get nothing but great reviews. I have a 9' 4 piece 5-weight from Dan that is a super nice blank. No complaints on my end.

Might look at the Hook & Hackle HX 907 4 B, Lamiglas EF 1087, Rainshadow RX7+ 907-4, and the FT 5 wt blanks for a true 7 wt in that series. Dan has some of the Sig III 5 piece 7 wts at 20% off last I talked to him. Re: fly blank suggestions

Eddie: great suggestions above--if you do go with Dan's FT series I'd suggest the 5wt as well...trust me its got enough reserve power for the strongest bass out there. Also, his Sig III 5pc-ers are 35% off, and I believe he still does have 7wts left. The Rainshadow RX7 (not the plus) is also a very decent bass stick IMO, and offered at a great price.
