AllStar replacement guides

I've got a couple AllStar casting rods in for guide replacement and I'm having trouble identifying the guides. They aren't stamped Fuji. The rings are a brownish color and the Fuji aluminum oxide ring is a close match, but I need a 6 ring and the aluminum oxides appear to begin at a #7. Any ideas?
I called AllStar and they were absolutely no help. E...

Interesting...I've called AllStar on several occasions about replacing guides and they very promptly sent me the necessary guides on their dime. All I had to do was give them the model number and location of guide being replace relative to the tip-top. I'd give them another chance.....Bret

Companies like All Star may change component vendors several times a year. My guess is that either Batson Enterprises, Pacific Bay or American Tackle supplied those guides. You may just have to take a look at what they offer and try match as close as you can.

Eddie,

Shortly after being bought out by Shakespear, Allstar went to all Fuji guides, either Hardloy's or Alconite's. So if the rod was bought within the past year, it will be one of the two.

Keep us posted on what happens with your Info from Allstar.
I wrote them a while back and was told Sharon wasn't in Houston any more and Shakespear did not give any info out.
Maybe I caught someone on a bad day.I hope so.

Mike,
I don't know who you spoke with but I can assure you that I am still in Houston running this manufacturing facility. I do some travelling now so I am out of the office from time to time. Anyone with questions should e-mail me directly. I cannot help with warranty rods or blanks but I can still help with information so feel free to contact me.

Eddie,
We will ship out your requested warranty guides by tomorrow.

Regards,

Sharon Johnson
