What is the shelf life for a product. I just bought a 4oz pack and didn't notice how yellow it was until I got home (compared to the bottle that I had)? Does this matter? Thanks Keith Re: shelf life for FLexCoat -lite finish

I'm still working one 8 oz. container of Flexcoat Lite purchased back in 97'. I thought it was bad ........bad operator error, still works great, the hardener looks yellow maybe its a deeper yellow than when it was new. From what they say on this site, the "shelf life" is indefinate, now excessive air might crystalize it on you but that can be cured with heating. Re: shelf life for FLexCoat -lite finish

Someone said it is about 1,000 years. Or something about it never going bad. The hardener may turn amber or yellow but it seems to clear quite a bit once you mix it. Also if the resin crystalizes you can heat it and it will come back like new. The stuff is not supposed to ever go bad. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
