I'm going to help a friend build a 9' - 9'6" 2 pcs spinningrod.
The rod is to be used for inshore fishing for seatrout back here in Denmark. Casting weight 15 - 25 grams. He'd prefer a rod with a strong backbone top - medium action, but again not so stiff that he's gonna have visit a fysiotherapist after a day of fishing. I've got a recommendation for the Batson RX7 Steelhead/Salmon IST1084F / IST1085F. Does anyone here have a say about this? or any other recommendations? The budget - well lets say up to $ 80 Re: Sugestion for spinning rod

Kim - What you in Europe are calling a "seatrout" rod sounds like what we in the United States refer to as a "steelhead" or "salmon" rod. Any of the American rod manufacturer's line of rods labeled as "Steelhead / Salmon" should have some models in the series with the kind of length and action and lure rating (3/8 - 3/4 oz) that you are looking for. The price of under $100-USA will narrow down the field of options fairly quickly, but still provide lots of quality.
BATSON ENTERPRISES is the owner / manufacturer of RAINSHADOW and FORECAST rods, and is a Sponsor of RBO. Go to their website, and select GOTO "Salmon / Steelhead" rods: [www.batsonenterprises.com] Either of your first selections "Batson RX7 Graphite Steelhead/Salmon IST1084F / IST1085F sounds like a good choice.
