Hey Randy:
I like Permagloss, however I found it to be a little tricky at first. Back on July 1st I posted some questions about Permagloss. It's on the 9th page of this forum a little more than half way down the page.( as of today ) There were a couple of very helpful replies. Putter stated not to put any type of flame to it. IT IS TRUE, I actually burned a rod in two doing it. ( I wasn't watching what I was doing.) Also the last replies from Jim Reinhardt and Jay Lancaster are very informative. In fact the method that Jim discribes is how I apply it. Just be sure , as Jay stated, to make sure to allow your coats time to finish the evaporation process.(or you end up with bubbles) Permagloss, IMHO, is great. There is no mixing, it finishes glass clear, and is good for your wraps, blanks, and cork. ( I had a guy from work bring me his grandfathers rod to restore. He was going to hang it up in his study. After I was done, I coated the hole rod in Permagloss, even the cork. It turned out like a show rod.) Permagloss is great stuff, but thats just my opinion. I hope this will help you with your delema. Tight lines and clean living. Paully Re: what would you reccomend?
