Hi Guys 10 wts over here are not used a lot so any blanks that we get to see are usually American premium priced imports. I have built three Sage 10 wt Xi2 but do have potential customers who just can't or won't pay the relatively high price of the Sage product but still want a decent rod.
Now I like the action of the Sage 10 wt Xi2 so my question which is specifically directed to those that actually f ish 10 wts and not just build them is what would be your suggestion for a quality alternative, with a budget in mind of say up to $200 but $150 would be nearer the mark. Thanks Mike Oliver Re: 4 piece 10 wt for Stripers

I fish 10 weights in Baja for Dorado, Roosters, and such. I've been using the RPLXi, not the Xi2. I wanted something with a bit faster action, and bought a Dan Craft FT. A very well made and sturdy blank, with plenty of lifting power. I have not yet fished it, but I'm taking it to British Columbia for salmon and steelhead next month. The price is right on your target. Re: 4 piece 10 wt for Stripers

Thanks for your input Dan. I would be interested to hear how the DanCraft 10 wt performs on your trip.
