Try any one of the sponsors appearing on the left. I've dealt with many of them and I've never had a problem with a single one of them. A good many of them have on-line catalogs with the information that you need. If their websites don't provide you with enough information - pick up the phone and call them. You'll find them eager to help get you strated and answer any questions you have.

Dan Craft FT (Fast Taper) blanks, some of the Rainshadow/Forecast blanks in many sponsors sites, Lamiglas XMG 50 blanks at Angler's Workshop, CTS blanks at Lamar Reelseats, Gatti at Mudhole, Sage everywhere. That's a good start.

Pascal--Dan Craft's FT (Fast Taper) Series is certainly one of the most competent and interesting fast-action blank line out there. The blanks are INCREDIBLY fast (i.e. TIP action), having Action Angles in the very high 70's to low 80's (!). Basically as much a tip-action blank as the Sage TCR or even slightly more, but still markedly different than the TCR. They have more reserve power (in the lower half) than any fly rod blank I've ever encountered anywhere. Period. They are also easier to cast by those of us with less-than-perfect casting strokes and timing. That being said, they do not recover as quickly as Dan's Signature V Series, which is one of the fastest damping blanks on the market, but has Action Angles in the mid- to upper-60's so is less tip-flex and thereby technically less "fast" than the FT, even though they DO recover more quickly and are capable of higher line speed. There's a bit of an intro on each of Dan's series on our site here: [www.rockymountainrodbuilding.com] and you can click through to view the lineup and pricing.

Rainshadow's new RX8+ are also brilliant blanks. Fantastic action with a VERY smooth almost presentation-stick feel--hard to believe they're actually very fast-action blanks, coming in with Action Angles around 70.

We are dealer/distributors for both Dan Craft and Rainshadow and would be happy to work with you in putting together the perfect fast action fly rod package for your needs.

All the best!
