Anyone tried these that can offer an evaluation/recommendation?
I suppose you only get what you pay $20 for, but was wondering how these might compare to other similarly priced blanks.

I find myself drooling as well over the new pricing structure......Especially the Salmon/Steelhead rods.

I would not mind some info myself.

I have built on the Fish Eagle spinning blanks and found them to be a steal for the price. The ones that I got were excellant blanks

Very nice blanks for the money. I have had some problems with their custom IM7 blanks not being what I thought for the lure ranges. They appear to be underrated in my opinion. The two piece blanks in the IM7 are ok but the one piece blanks tend to be too stiff for the lure range.

I've just recently finished 4 of the FEII rods for my brother and myself for our annual Canada trip in September: Two 1 piece 7’ spiral casting and 2 tradition 2 piece walleye spinning rods. At this price, you can afford to put good guides on the rods and still build a rod for under $75. I also have a 9 foot steelhead rod that I will be building into split handle casting rod for use out of my kayak and to try in Canada next year.

Several years ago, I bought a couple of new reels and opted to get the rod/reel package one of which included a FEII. The one piece 7ft med heavy action I chose has become my go-to rod in Canada two years in a row. I too think that the one piece rods are a little under rated on power but they handled the 42 in pike in heavy weeds with everything I wanted. We cast ¾ oz JSM’s all day with them.

I personally like these rods and the price makes them that much more attractive.

I'm currently building a bunch of side-drifting rods on the Fish Eagle II 9-foot, 6-10# salmon/steelhead blanks. First one is done and I think they're going to fish really nice (good looking blanks, too!)

I have built a number of spinning and casting rods on Fish Eagle I and Fish Eagle II blanks. I think they are great blanks. I haven't bought any in several years. Assuming they haven't changed anything, I highly recommend them.

For those of you who tried BOTH the FEII and the XML in the same weight rating, are the XML really that much better? A bit curious.
