Hi
Sorry to ask again but I have still been unable to track down a purpose built 4 piece carbon blank 10 feet long 4 piece. to throw lures up 3oz.. It must be able to handle with authority 2.375oz Darters and needle fish plugs. I want to avoid a cut to order blank. which will most probably have weakness at the joints. This rod is goping to get beat up on rocks and very deep wade fishing Thanks Mike O. Re: 2nd Attempt 3oz 4 piece Spinn blank for Surf

I don't know if there are any surf rods which are made 4-piece, although I'm sur eI am wrong. Possibly a 15-wt fly rod might do teh trick, although I've only seen one which was a 2-piece GUSA. Seemed like it would make a great eeling rod, not sure about medium-heavy plugs though Re: 2nd Attempt 3oz 4 piece Spinn blank for Surf

Mike,
I have built our 10' FT blanks in 6 and 7wt into spin rods and loved them for steelhead and salmon. I think the FT1010-4 would handle 2oz of weight! Dan Craft Dan Craft Enterprises Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
