Has anyone had a problem with red eva block from Merrick turning a pinkish color after sanding? Need some bright or fire red eva block that will retain it's color after sanding.

Thanks,
Steve

Have you tried something like a tooth brush to clean out the small particals that are stuck in the pours of thr grip.
The little partical can cause the grip to change color

I use 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper under running water after shaping. Another good cleaner is "GoJo" hand cleaner with pumice, again under running water.Asoft bristled scru brush is a great plus.

The red will likely fade soon after serious sun exposure anyway. All my Red grips look pink after a while..a light sanding revives them..for a while.

Steve - see, I've only been buildign for a few years, and came to teh same conclusion as the guy with 56 years of experiance, lol. I will try to e-mail you the pix, unless I forget - which I probably will.

It's not that it looks Pink like your FEminine woman Tuna rod, it's just not as Red as you would like it to be.
