Dan Craft FT and a big shout out!

I finally got the time to fish my new Dancraft FT 10 wt I bought from John at Rocky Mt and I can only say one thing about that blank, absolute perfection!!!!! It whipped SA 9 wt intermediate sinking line like it was 5 wt floating. The loops coming off the end of this stick stayed tight and the line seemed to want to just keep on going. I used Fuji Alconite guides for the first time on a fly rod and it does makes one heck of a difference as opposed to snake guides of any kind. This is a bad thing because now I am going to have to retrofit all the rods with snakes I built prior to this discovery. Dan L Craft, thanks for such a superb product at such a great price! Those two things together are truly a rare find these days. Bob at Custom Tackle, thanks for taking the time to help out a greenhorn. Let’s set a date and get on the water soon. Tom, thanks for this site that led me to such great people and products.

Hey, Mike! Hate to say "told you so"! ;) LOL

Really glad to hear you're as pleased with the blank as we are with Dan's whole line...and you're right: you just gotta go ceramics on the FT's and Sig V's to maximize that performance potential. I always try and limit the guides to only four on the FT tip section to keep from overloading it, though (well, on the 6wts and under anyway).

Anyway, you're right about Dan offering a superb product at a great price. We're delighted to have the opportunity to represent and distribute his stuff.

All the best,
