Embedding insects in resin

Several people have emailed asking if it is possible to use the polyester casting resin to embed insects. The answer is definitely. Permagloss can be used to attach a mayfly to a tube with a background color of your choice. Once dry cast the tube in resin as described in the Rodmaker article. Mayflys can be collected years ahead of when you need them. Here is a link to preserving insects. [www.ento.csiro.au] If you are interested, you may want to make a copy of the page.
