I just ordered one of these sight-unseen and like what arrived, but am trying to figure what it is best suited for. I get the impression it is designed for "drift fishing" or as a "float rod", and where I live nobody does either of those things. The blank seems pretty stiff in the butt but softens up a lot in the tip (it is only 5/64 at the tip). How suited is this blank for launching lighter lures and live bait in saltwater? It seems "whippy" and I imagine would take a while to dampen if you really leaned into it. This is a rambling post but does anybody have suggestions on what this rod is best suited for and how you would set it up? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
