I had a friend bring me a couple of rods to redo. He wants new grips, reel seats, guides and nice butt wraps. Okay, no problem, until he said he wanted me to take the factory decals off. The decals are at a place that will not be wrapped, so I don't know if I want to (or should) try to scratch them off. Is there any thing I can use to get them off with out compromising the blanks color? Will acetone work? Any ideas? Please and Thank you. Re: stripping blanks

Just wrap over it with the same color as the blank and be done with it !

But make sure to use color preserver as you'd end up with something pretty ugly if you had a decal under translucent wraps! Scott Kinney The Longest Cast Fly Rods [www.thelongestcast.com] Re: stripping blanks
