Spinning Rod Blank Suggestions?

Hello. Looking for some suggestion on a blank. Planning on building my father a new spinning rod for light/medium inshore saltwater fishing. He would like something that he could breakdown into at least 2 pieces to make travelling easier. Looking for a blank around 7' for 12lbs line. Any thoughts/suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

Two Rainshadow/Forecast blanks, RX6 SB 843-3, or RX7 ISP 844-3 would make fine rods. The RX7 Green blank is especially attractive.

I just got a Rainshadow SB843-3 but haven't built it yet. Glad to see someone recommend it. Another to consider is the Lamiglas IMP843-3 3-piece popping blank

As a late and odd addition to the above good advice, you might want to consider going to a longer rod, say a 9 to 10.5 footer as in float rods made by St Croix. Anything over 9 feet is usually a two hander, but they are fun. I got into longer rods a few years ago, and, given the open conditions, they are way fun.

And, of course, they also make shorter versions as well. These can be acquired usually at list less 40%.
