You can us a Sharpie permanent marker to touch up the guide where it is shiny. Be sure the ink is dry before wrapping with thread, Re: Grinding guide feet

The only thing I can think of is to repaint/refinish the entire guide foot so that the color is at least uniform.

If you can find some auto touch up paint in the color you want, they come in small bottles with a brush in them Re: Grinding guide feet

Nobody has mentioned that most PacBay guides do not need grinding. I have switched to PacBay in most cases for this reason. It saves a lot of time. John Butterfield Re: Grinding guide feet

I use the Pac Bay too, John. I do grind each and every one, though. I always used to use a file but have switched to using my dremel for several months now. I guess I still do some with the file, just because.
I like the fact that they're preground, it saves me some time getting them up to shape quicker. They've always done a good job of grinding them, too. I did get a batch of #6 single foots that somehow bypassed the grinding operation completely last year, though. Putter Williston, ND Re: Grinding guide feet

Pac Bay makes some nice guides. But they always seemed a little heavy to me ? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
