FYI

I recently puchased a new (at least, to me) super glue-type adhesive at a woodworking show. This stuff is different in that it is anaerobic. It stays liquid untill air is removed, as in, sticking the parts together. This stuff will bond almost anything to anything. The only things I've found that it doesn't glue well are substances which are inherently slick, like UHMW and delrin. This site also offers other products like, debonder, medical adhesive, gel adhesive, powdered workable filler which you squirt onto the liquid adhesive and a really nifty hand-cream type liquid glove which prevents messy stuff from sticking to or staining you hands. I bought an all-inclusive kit which contained several of these products. They all exceeded my expectations. Check it out.

I have yet to find a task in rod building that Rod Bond won't handle. I'm sure they're all good but I just feel safe in using a product that is made just for rod building.

A quick scan of the site reveals many items of potential value to rod builders aside from the glue. Rod Bond is my favorite for most bonding applications but it is helpful to have alternatives which may be better in certain applications. I appreciate the tip. Perhaps this company might choose to become a sponsor if they knew their products were helpful to rodbuilders. Dave
