Forgot to ask. I'm in process of building a UL spin rod from this blank. Turns out that the front 3 sections are 0.7 oz and the final section is 0.9 oz. So, I'm thinking simply using ONLY the front three sections into a UL rod and abandoning the rear. (I could not weight the blank because the handle is already mounted.)
Do you think this will work? Dan, if you see this, would appreciate your thoughts. This will make for a medium action UL rod instead of a fast one if I use all four secions. Thanks, Mo Re: weight of Dan Craft FT 3wt, 4pc?

Mo,
I think you will still have a pretty fast light action spin rod! Dan Craft Dan Craft Enterprises Re: weight of Dan Craft FT 3wt, 4pc?

There is information posted in the blanks section of the CCS Data Site regarding characteristics for 3wt. FT blanks that may be useful to you. Stan Grace Helena, MT "Our best is none too good" Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
