What should we call it?

The Bumper System has taken the spiral out of the spiral wrapped rod so how do we now refer to this thing? I think an "Over and Under" makes sense such as an "Over and under standup rod" or an "Over and under baitcasting rod, etc., etc. What do you think? Let's hear some opinions ! Jesse

Bill called it "The Simple Spiral." Maybe that will catch on, maybe it won't. The line doesn't spiral around the blank, so maybe that's not a good name for it after all.

We've been calling our rods "turnover" wrapped.

Crooked wrap?

Still call mine acids most of the time. Draws lots of questions & most people that see it for the first time can relate to why it's called that.

"Sidewinder" - is already taken. THere is a cult following in teh Northeast for these REELs, called sidewinders, which are very similar to fly reels, or the Austrailian Alvery reels. USed for bottomfishing, mainly Blackfish.

My vote is for "better than the wrong way rods were built for 90+ years"
