replacement guide for bamboo rod

I'm fixing an old bamboo rod for a friend and it's missing a snake guide. I don't know who made the rod but it's a heavy three piece rod with a black aluminum reel seat. The guides on this rod are finer wire and taller than the comparable size snakes on the other rods that I own. Does anyone have a clue as to who makes such a guide? Snake brand or Hopkins and Holoway maybe?

Thanks,

Tony

I don't know, but Russ at Golden Witch might be your best source for information on it, or for the replacement guide itself.

Tony;
Most of the old companies used either Perfection or Mildrum guides. Russ may have them or Ricks Rods(www.ricksrods) in Denver would be a good place to check.
