What holds the cork on the mandrel?

I want to make a 4 ring foregrip for my first rod. I have read and re-read Tom's very informative book and can not figure out what will keep the cork from spinning on the mandrel when I mount it on my wood lathe. Is it the epoxy 'squeeze out' on the inside of the cork when it is clamped? Does the paraffin wax not totally coat the mandrel? If it is 'squeeze out' holding the cork, how hard is it going to be to get the cork off the mandrel?
I never realized how much was involved in this intriging adventure. Build a spine finder, build a wrapping jig from Greg Pennell's plans, build a drier, make several tapered reamers, all all this before I can even start building. What am I getting into? Thanks in advance for the help. Ralph Ratliff Re: What holds the cork on the mandrel?

Even with parrafin on the mandrel enough epoxy will squeeze out to hold the grip well enough for the shaping operation. When you're done you put one end in the vise and then give the grip a quick twist and it will snap loose. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
