I am trying to put some decals on my rods but am having trouble. I am using waterslide decal. It seams like all of the top edges look like they are not sticking and it is cloudy under it. It is being layed on top of rod finisher not the blank. Anyone got any tips?

It sounds like you let it soak in water too long, dissolving the adhesive. Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to save it. Re: decal Trouble

Be sure to cut around the decal with a sharp scissor. Razor blades leave edges that are rough and stick up...
Put these decals in the water for just a bit, then remove them and let them lay to the side for a while (time depends on type of decal paper). When you slide them off of the backing onto the rod, be sure to get it very close to where you want it to be. Don't slide it around on the rod very much, this removes the adhesive. It also helps witht the cloudiness if you put a thin coat of finish on, let it dry, then apply your decal and cover with another coat of finish. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
