I have been looking for a removable fighting butt that is 4-5" long that is able to fit the REC real seats, and a 1.5' as well. Do I have to custom make the 4-5" one? Will it add alot of wieght to the rod if it is removable? If I can't do this I may just add a 4" fixed butt and use another rod for bass.
I am making a Sage TCR 10' 7wt and would like the flexibility of using the 5" for steelhead (some single handed spey type casting) and the 1.5" for when I float tube for bass. ANY SUGGESTIONS? Re: Fighting Butts

At one time someone made a slightly longer fighting butt for that seat. I'm pretty sure of it. Contact Pacific Bay and ask. If you did have to make it yourself, it wouldn't really be that hard. Just extend the shorter 2 inch model with a sleeve over the shaft on it now and install cork or EVA over that.
