Hi I have ben given Some Gudebrod metallic braid to use on a rod, so I use it the same way as thred.

As far as I understand, used mostly for butt wraps. I've not used it even though I have some of the glow. Re: metallicbraid

My understanding from previous posts and responses is that metallic braid is actually slightly stronger than normal thread. You can use it as much as you'd like to wrap guides, but take a look to make sure it doesn't appear as if you went overboard. I have a buddy that used metallic braid to wrap the entire guide and it wasn't to my liking. It looked gaudy IMO.

Are you talking about metallic thread or the Gudebrod flat ribbon like metallic (braid) If it's the flat stuff, it's only good for trim/butt wraps. If it's the threat, it's stronger than nylon and can be used anywhere you use thread.
