I have built a number of rods this past winter using St. Croix blanks. They are great but they are also a little boring. I'm looking for some blanks with some color. Anybody have an idea where they might be found and/or a method for for re-finishing.
Thanks Re: Colored rod blanks

Do a search here on this board - you'll turn up a ton of info on refinishing in your choice of color. There is also an article on refinishing in our online library.

You might check MudHole they were selling off Lamiglas blanks which were in different colors. Forecast comes in a nice darkblue/green, American Tackle Matrix blanks are also a nice translulcent green with visible matting near the butt section. Re: Colored rod blanks

Actually, the new St. Croix SCIV (spinning and casting) blanks are a dark but brilliant blue. Not my taste, but not boring. Re: Colored rod blanks

Your bes bet is GraphiteUSA. Go to Mudhole and check out the blanks. I forget what their standard color is but there are 6 different colors you can get for an extra $15. Re: Colored rod blanks
