Hello,

I am re-building a Lamiglas Surf Rod. It currently has Fuji SIC guides to be replaced, but would appear to have a Hardloy Tip. I've researched several distributors web sites and cannot locate a Fuji SIC tip top with a tube size of 16 and a ring size of 20. Can anyone confirm that SIC is available in 16/20 and where I may locate one? Thanks in advance!

Mike, I may be wrong, but I think you are only going to be able to find a 12mm ring with a 16 tube size in a Fuji. That's in a UST.

The PST's go to a 16mm ring but only up to a 14 tube size.

No, Mike is not my brother......even though we do share the same last name!
Mike -like Clif stated, I recently built a Lami GSB1362MH using All Fuji SIC guides.
I can't imagine why you would need a ring size so big for the tip?
My stick casts weight & bait up to 16oz with nooo problem.
Here are the guide #'s I used.....all sic-
HNSG's size 20,16,16,12,12,12,12, with a UST12-16 tip $$$$$$

Eric, I am re-building with the owner requesting the exact replacment with spacing and sizing. The rod itself was built by Red Drum Tackle, a reputable outfit on the Outer Banks of NC. They used only 5 guides total, being sized 25, 20, 20, 20 and a 20 tip top which by the way is a 20 Hardloy! Exact placement escapes me. The owner is quite pleased with the performance so I dare not challenge.
