From looking at the color of the "Big Bird's" eye he must have tied a Big One on last night. This is the kind of work that makes me want to start playing golf again!! I would have a better chance of having four consecutive holes in one than ever learning to do something like that.

Wow, Jim. Just when I thought the limits had pretty much been reached, you go and pull off something like this. I spent yesterday making up a bunch of new patterns, and was fairly impressed with myself. Back to the drawing board!

Thanks for a new level to shoot for!! Truly wonderful work. Hard to believe that it is thread. Un-freaking-believable. I tried seven colors on a far simpler pattern and on each attempt, it just never worked. This is what separates masters from grasshoppers!

By the way, I gotta ask... how many hours do you have in that?

I'll answer for Jim, since I saw it posted on Hiro's site - it took him 90 hours +. For those with Math difficuties, that is 4 COMPLETE days straight. Think about how much stuff you can do in 4 days, then think you can do all that and go to sleep for 8 hours. Amazing the time he spent on this, and even more amazing that it looks the way it does.

Thank you all for your compliments and exclamations. Some even made me laugh and that's a good thing. The weave is a test weave to try out a method for developing patterns. It was also an exorcise in integrating the Wrapping (background) thread into the the pattern. As Billy has told you it took about 90 hours to complete (but then I'm old and only have one good eye) not including the time it took to make the pattern. I'll post a picture when I get the finish on.

You can see the whole weave on Hiro's site as he merged the two pictures I took and posted them for me. His site address is www.hirods.net Go to the coffee break section. I haven't figured out how to cut and paste a photo on this computer and get it to post .

Thank you all again....

Jim

Well, now I see what Doc was emailing me about! Wow, Jim, that's some super work; you've really raised the bar; kind of like running a 3 minute mile! Great job, keep churning them out and sharing your knowledge with us handicapped!!!

I first thought it was going to be a re-run of Jurasic Park. I know its a Dragon but I reckon that's the best Velociraptor young I have seen. Red eyes and all.

Best Regards

Was this done with a Wonder Weaver? I certainly hope so because then I have an extra excuse for not being able to do that.
