In the past month I have built 3 flyrods, 3 crankbait rods & 1flyrod on a steelhead blank. I sold 1 crankbait rod & 1 flyrod. The rest were freebies! But with each rod ,when I handed it to the new owners, the reaction was the same each time. WOW !! They couldn't get over how light they were. I was thrilled to sell my first rod, but to get that reaction was amazing. I had questions about the steelhead blank as a flyrod & when I called, I spoke to Josh & he took the time to explain the differences in how the blanks were built. He told me to let him know how it worked. After this I am sold on Rainshadow!
When I talked to Neal, I might have heard a tear in his voice. He has been VERY helpful to me. Not only with my selections, but any questions on building a well. Everything I have made I bought from Neal's Fishin Products. To Neal Cissel & Batson Enterprises, Thank you. Sincerly, Brian Althouse Re: Rainshadow & Neal Cissel

I would like to say thanks also to Neal for his help and assistance both individually and to our small group of retirees' just learning the art of custom rod building. He really does have an awesome selection, good prices and good conversation.
Thanks Neal. Re: Rainshadow & Neal Cissel

I also can not say enough nice things about Neal. I made a prety bonehead move a few weeks back. When my brother and I went fishing I had the 4 weight I built on a forecast blank that I bought from Neal underneath our waders and vests and jackets, etc on the back seat of the car. When I sat down to take off my shoes I heard a crack. It was the tip section of my rod. Neal was very helpful about replacing the tip for me. Quick too.
Thanks again Neal, Mark Re: Rainshadow & Neal Cissel

I have to agree guys. Neal is one of those rare (except for the sponsors on this board) individuals that really cares about the craft and his customers. He has patiently answered question after question for me and is always quick to reply to more and offer learned suggestions many people would not even think of.
He is a sincere and generous man. Derek Re: Rainshadow & Neal Cissel

Well thanks to all my customers. When things are tough it's nice to know that I have customers like you all. Like I have told Brian and all my customers that call me or email me I am here to help you with your rod building needs and I can also give you new idea's of ways to build your next fishing rod. Now Mark I hope you learned from your lesson that you never put your fishing rod under items and then go and sit down on them? :-) I am also glad you received your tip section. Well I am overwhelmed with the replies.
Thanks, Neal Cissel Neal's Fishing Products www.nealsfishingtackle.com neal@nealsfishingtackle.com Re: Rainshadow & Neal Cissel

I just got back home from a trip to Phoenix and I made sure to stop by Neal's warehouse - he stayed late to accomidate my schedule - and I couldn't believe how much stuff he has there. The whole warehouse is packed floor to ceiling! What really suprised me is how much general tackle he has there too. Crank baits, spinners, flies, reels, line... If you ever have to go to Phoenix you definately need to stop by. Just make sure you have pleanty of time when you go there. Next time I go down there I'm definitely going to make sure I have some extra time. It would be pretty easy to spend a couple of hours there. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
