14' Surf Rod - Butt Guides

I'm looking for replacement butt guides for 2 14' surf rods. On one rod I'm told the guide is 3" and the other 2.75". Best I can find is 2.75" (70mm) wire guides from pac bay. maybe the 3" was a measurement error due to out-of-round and its really 2.75". Is there any such thing as a 3" guide?

Large ring spinning guides have generally fallen out of favor. At one time you could actually buy #80 and #85 sizes. I'm not aware of anyone making them now, but somebody may have a few lying around somewhere. You might put your request up on the buy/sell page here under the "wanted" category.

Thanks Tom. I actually got my hand on the rods this morn, and as it turns out they are both 70mm so what i found at pack bay will do - I think.
