I am having trouble deciding on a few issues, hope someone can suggest some solutions.
1. What kind of guides: single of double foot snakes? and quality Company?
2. I want a longer removable fighting butt (4-5") along with a 2": Is Pacific Bay the only option?
3. What is a good quality reel seat with a wood insert that would accent the TCR blank color (Sage uses straight black). Keeping in mind question #2.

I have been pondering these items for the past 3 nights. Any suggestions would help.
Thank You !!!

Keeping in mind question #2 ... I believe there is a new component from REC (Is it a sponsor yet?) that would solve your problem. For this one e-mail me and I´ll send You the link. Let´s be fare with the ones that are listed still as sponsors.

For a very fine wood insert, I´d choose bewteen fine worked Cocobola, Red Heart, and Impregnated reds (prices can vary a lot). For this problem of yours there is a particular sponsor on the left that can help You a lot: Classic Custom Wood; excellent site!

As for the guides, I ´d go with H&H double foot or RECcoils also double foot. Stripping guides would be Fuji: frame color should match reel seat hardware; SiC LNSG, or CLNSG. You have more expensive options than SiC. Depends on what are You willing to spend.

Post pictures when You finish that unique rod!
