Would this give any benefit in keeping weight down on a 5wt, or am I really trying to work this too hard? Re: Anybody use size 00 thread on fly rods?

I use 00 silk most of the time. With single foot guides and Klass Kote epoxy paint you have a very minimalist finish. I recently cut off a SF stripper and the weight of finish and thread was 1.4 grains or .09 grams. The only difficulties with 00 thread is the jump onto an untapered foot and good lighting. Marty I do not beleive you would see any weight differnce. but esthetically it would be more appealing. I would also use a light type finish to keep the weight down
Good Wraps Bob You also have a hidden email address Re: Anybody use size 00 thread on fly rods?

I don't know why my e-mail is hidden. I thought it could be seen. Re: Anybody use size 00 thread on fly rods?
