I bought one of these months ago and we moved so I never actually go to use it. Finally got things up and started to wrap again and used the wrapper for the first time last night, Amazing, absolutely fantastic, holds the threads when you can't, make cutting a breeze, can even back up quite a few turns for "adjustments". Can work 4 threads at a time, I used 2 to do a band in the middle of a wrap and it was so incredibly easy. Not to mention how easy the tip wrap went. Defnitely worth the money and wait.
May even go with Sully's Dryer now so I can have the entire set. Re: Sullys Rod Wrapper

My wife surprised me a couple of years ago with a Sully's wrapper and double rod dryer. Great stuff. I wouldn't use any other system now. And they stand behind their products. If you have any problems, send it in for replacement. Re: Sullys Rod Wrapper

Where did you get your Sully wrapper. I'm using one I made off a plan in the library here. It serves the purpose, but it's just too small. One piece rods are a real bear. I can't get one now, but I'd like to know where to look for future referance.
Thanks, Bill in WV Re: Sullys Rod Wrapper

Probably not one to get if you want to add power. I almost got a power unit instead, but with the low number of rods I build, the hand wrapper is perfect. I really can't imagine building with a power wrapper ever now that I've used the Sully's wrapper. But then again, I don't make surf rods with long underwraps. That might change my answer.
