H&H IM7 fly rod blanks

Has anyone here used the H&H IM7 fly rod blanks? They seem to come in the same sizes as forecast blanks, are they worth twice the money?

Cheers,

Mark

I may be wrong about this, but I suspect they are the new PacBay IM7 Rainforest blanks. H&H used to carry the older Rainforest models, and the new Rainforest is upgraded to IM7 according to the PacBay website and catalog. Also, the specs. are identical for the few blanks that I compared. H&H does that with many of their products, like their new H&H #5 reel seats are really the new Forecast seats etc...
If they are Rainforest blanks, are they worth twice as much? Only you can be the judge of that. I've built both and have no problem justifying the additional expense for the Rainforest..

Yes, Mike is correct. I ordered a 6wt IM7 from H&H, and it came in the PacBay packaging.
Great finish (gloss green) and straight as an arrow!

Do you have any idea who makes the H&H XT51 blanks?
