blue would look cool. one more interesting addition you outta add to your list... diamondback has their reissued classic trout line in a beautifully gorgeous shades of brown, similar to the woven look i think. has anybody built or fished these?

I wonder, how could I make a Blue tube? hmmmm. Mind boggling. I'll hold off on the magic secret of Red Woven Tubing till I'm done with the rod I'm working on, probably won't be till 2006 at the rate I'm going, lol..

My thoughts exactly, Billy. I think the first one, I'll try to marble it. I'd like to stick with that woven look, though. AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH but it's GGGGREEEENNNNN!!!!!

There was a long and detailed thread here on dying these woven graphite spacers quite a while back(maybe last year,or even the year before?).You might want to try the search feature to see if you can dig some info up on it.I'm not really sure what search topic it would be under though(dying graphite inserts maybe,LOL?).

I can't remember who it was that originally posted the info(if they see this post then maybe they could chip in again),but the process seemed simple enough and the results were some beautiful deep blue graphite inserts.

Tony I didn't see teh original thread, but I did my own experimenting. Since we're so far off PAge 1, I doubt anyone is going to see my big giant secret - just use a Sharpie to color the whole thing. I haven't decided on whether I want to put a super light coat of finish over it or not.
