Cork Handles

Hi All,

I have finished up a bout 6 or 8 rods this winter and am very happy with the results. Thanks for all the help I have recieved on this forum.

I have noticed on a number of the St Croix cork rod handles as well as others I have seen in catalogs and/or stores they have a decorative piece of cork like material on the butt end of the handle. It is darker, grainier and seems a little harder than the cork. I like the look of it. Does anybody know what this material is and/or where to get it?

Thanks
