U 40 High Build

Fred,
You have asked a very subjective question, so rod builders may hesitate to respond. I would suggest wrapping a guide and maybe a flat wrap on a spare blank section, then begin applying thin coats until you reach the level of epoxy that you find desirable.

Jeff is right as it will depend on your application and your desired effect. With U 40 high build I can normally get by with one application on a fly rod or light spinning rod. Two will definate give me all build up I find necessary.

Fred--ditto both Jeff and Stan! Applying finish becomes an intensely personal process/approach. But you can certainly get wonderful results with just one coat of LS high build.
