Dave...just look at any pics on the photo page of works in progress...that will show you how. Some like to start their weave threads and background wrap before mounting the section of loom on the rod away from the direction of thread travel. They add it later. You can mount both at the same time and do it that way also. Its a matter of personal preference, nothing more.Find what works best for you and go with it. Re: WEAVE LOOM AGAIN

The looms(left and right ones) clamp to the rod with the hardware included with the loom(nuts and bolts) with the weave inbetween the two looms. I'll repost 3 pics of my looms showing how they are setup. Yours would be setup similar to mine, yours just uses the springs to hold the threads verses the foam. email with any questions Re: WEAVE LOOM AGAIN

Should the thread go through springs first??

The way Doc Ski explained it to me is to put the right loom on the rod, then tape the weaving threads to the rod with the loose ends to the right. Load the thread into the loom and then put the left loom on the rod with the tab on the tape that holds the thread. Re: WEAVE LOOM AGAIN

thread goes through the nails first then into the spring, same way for the left and the right loom, this after you've stuck them to the blank on double stick tape, start with the middle thread of the pattern you're going to weave and work out from there in both directions. I leave about 6" of thread hanging down, in your case, from the spring. Left loom should be placed a bit closer to the weave than the right, about the lenght of the weave.
Again be careful using metallics with the springs, the spring tears up metallics Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
