Bill. This place seems to have a decent selection & prices.[www.woodcraft.com]
Also this nova from Amazon [www.amazon.com]
Maybe Andy would have some ideas. My Jet-mini is on the way but I'm still looking for a decent chuck at a good price. I hate to spend as much for the chuck as I did the lathe.

The bad thing about LCM18 is 3/4" is the smallest diameter it will hold. That @#$%& for your smaller (almost all) mandrels. It does look like a good chuck for wood though although you can never tell looking at them I'd rather play with them and get to know them on a more 1on 1 basis.

Bryan - gotta do a better job reading descriptions.

" Holds work from 3/4" to 2-1/2" inside, and up to 1-1/4" outside."

UP TO 1 1/4 OUTSIDE. That means from 0 to 1 1/4, no? I've got PSI's 3 Jaw economy chuck as well, another fine choice. So fine, it's the same one as on teh Clemens Lathe, and I asume the Renzetti:

Problem I had with this is it doesn't hold 1 1/4" Cork rings, so I ha teh jaws machined to open up to 1 1/2. I've abused the jaws with steel mandrels (Jaws are aluminum), and they aren't 100% on center any more.
