on my 3rd coat of flexcoat it came out wavey what happened and how can i fix it? will more coats cover it up? THANKS FOR ANY INPUT Re: finish

Unfortunately additional coats won't correct the problem. You need to sand it down flat and then put on another coat. For this type of thing, I would use the foam sanding boards you can get at Walmart or Target that are made for filing fingernails. I have one that has four different grits on the same board. It works quie well, just b careful you don't sand into the threads. Re: finish

USUALLY, waviness comes from applying too much finish. Sometimes using heat (Bic, whatever) too late when the finish is starting to set and it can't self level does this, too. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
