I want to use some brick foam arbors I have as the bushings for a light graphite spinning reel seat. The arbors are a tiny bit smaller in diameter than the reel seat. Is it OK to go ahead and use them and just add a few wraps of good masking tape to the arbors to create a tight fit? Thanks! Re: Brick foam arbors

They should be 'slightly' smaller than the reel seat; if quite a bit smaller, I'd wrap some size D thread around the arbor and try it for fit. I wouldn't use the masking tape, though.
I've used size 16 arbors with Pac Bay seats and they fit fine. Then grab an AmTak 16 seat and I have to wrap thread around the brick foam arbors to get them to fit properly. Would be nice if all were standardized, but they're not... Putter Williston, ND Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
