Rapidograph Pens

I have read some stuff on this site related to Rapidograph technical pens for writing on blanks. What sizes would you recommend? Will they work with a variety of inks?

Thanks,
Doug Daufel

Doug:

Try pens with tips in sizes 0 and 00. These are what I have been using for over 10 years. Use the best grade of white or other color of india ink you can purchase. Forget any other inks, as they have not ground the pigments fine enough to use in a technical pen. For the other inks, use a dip pen. One caveat though - when you are done with an inscription, clean the pen and take the ink out of the reservoir. Store it empty. This gets rid of lots of nasty comments and problems when you go to use it next.

I'll second all of Doug's comments.

I personally use 00 only though.

Better to have and not need than to need and not have.
