Up here in New England when the School tuna come into Cape Cod Bay, you can chase the school and throw 3 ounce feather jigs to them but need a stiff butt spinning rod 7-8ft with fast tip. Strong enough tip to handle a fierce cast though. Any suggestions on blanks. Thanks Re: football tuna rods

GUSA 70/80 Monster Mag. Keep in mind this type of fishing is not my specialty. Re: football tuna rods

You may want to try an 8' back bounce rod. Plenty of back bone, fast tip and will chuck 3oz baits with ease.

Can a GF700H throw a 3oz bait? Maybe a 700M for lighter line?
