Up here in New England when the School tuna come into Cape Cod Bay, you can chase the school and throw 3 ounce feather jigs to them but need a stiff butt spinning rod 7-8ft with fast tip. Strong enough tip to handle a fierce cast though. Any suggestions on blanks. Thanks

GUSA 70/80 Monster Mag. Keep in mind this type of fishing is not my specialty.

You may want to try an 8' back bounce rod. Plenty of back bone, fast tip and will chuck 3oz baits with ease.

Can a GF700H throw a 3oz bait? Maybe a 700M for lighter line?
