Well I finished the botom half of me flyrod and sure enough I have a couple of tacky areas. I am thinking about using permagloss to clean it up. The guides are high build so I don't need more buildup. Is this the way to go. The wraps look good, What does permagloss cover like? Does it even out like fc? Thanks Tom. Re: Mistake help.

Put the rod in a warm area and give it another day? Don't know how long it has been but if it is cool it will take a little longer Re: Mistake help.

Don't do that. If the finish has not set to the point where it is not tacky after 24 to 48 hours in warm room, then you need to recoat with a properly measured and mixed application of more epoxy. Just because it's high build doesn't mean you have to put it on thick - just a thin overcoat will do.

what TOM said is absolutely correct. i just went thru something similiar to your situation and waiting 3 days and recoating lightly did the trick. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
