greens, rainshadow vs rainforest?

just curious, i see batson describes the RX7 as olive green (also available in matte grey i think). i see pac bay's rainforest is also green. i have built on the pacbay but not on batson as yet and like that traditional green color.

is there a difference to the eye between the two greens? i would love to build on a true olive green, matte would be incredible i think (although i don't think anything like that is available). also, since i have never looked closely at the winston green, how do all three compare? i'm speaking cosmetically .

on another tangent, how does the "winston feel" i see written all the time compare to these two other blanks in general stream trout versions, say 8-9 foot, 3-5 weight? is it all marketing hype?

just wondering on a rainy day...

Eric, we sold some to a customer and I got a email from him Sat.March 19th . It read ,wanted to let you know I got the blanks today, I'm very impressed by these "emerald green beauties". I compared them to my G. Loomis blanks and do appear to be as good or better . Very nice finish on them .end of quote . I dont know if this helps with a color differance , I just wanted you to see what he had to say about the Rainshadow blanks. We have the full line of Rainshadow , Forecast blanks on our website Fishsticks4u.com or ,we are on the sponsor list .

The colors are all at least similar. As far as the "Winston Feel," that's a long time marketing buzz phrase for the company. I suppose that there is also a "RainShadow Feel" and a "RainForest Feel" if these other firms wished to market their blanks that way as well.

I don't think any really fit into the true "olive" color category. The deep emerald green phrase used by Robert's customer would seem to peg the color that I've seen on these.

Maybe more of a leaf green translucent?? Brighter then an olive, I would think. Beautiful color

There are two other blanks that I am handling for customers to offer aside from the import Rainshadow blank and Pac. Bay Rainforest Green.
These are the American Tackle Matrix in Emerald Green. They have the 'Matrix' look and 'feel' of moderate fast action.
The St. Croix also has the spruce matte green in the Fast action SCIV graphite series for the 'St. Croix Feel' and value vs. performance.

Eric,
You'll be able to check out the Rainshadow blanks when you come up in April.
