What do you folks think about a Rainshadow SW967 for tossing the big Musky Swimbaits like Bull Dawgs? Thanks!

Not terribly familiar with what Rainshadows Saltwater stuff is like but the specs are close. Especially for the small and mid sized ones. I'd probably want one rated even heavier if you're going to throw the big 12" ones. Those are 6 ounce baits and may feel like a real load on that blank. I'd hate to cut a bunch off that 1089 that has more appropriate specs.

I'd steer you more towards one of Rogues BackBounce blanks. Seems like they had one or two that really fit the bill for the big Dawgs.

If you want about the best 8' blank for big bulldawg swim baits, I'de go with St. Croix 3M80HF.
Very light blank for casting big baits, doing figure eights at the retreive keeping the bait where you want it, and with spiral wrap design will keep the stability for big fish handling and all keep fatigue in check for all day casting those big baits. The 3M76HF would be an ideal counterpart if you want this blank in a 7'6" version.

The SWS967 works great for 6" to 7" baits if you are using anything larger in the 10" to 12" baits I would suggest the IMU907 or XMU916

We carry these blanks as we sell them to the saltwater fisherman. The SWS967 makes a great blank for throwing the swim baits like the Castaic trout baits. Just last month a customer of mine caught a 10.4lb largemouth bass out of Saguaro Lake just East of the town I live in. He was just estatic with the way the blank performed for him.
