The whole list of sponsors at the left can take care of you. Personally, I prefer Neal's Fishing Products and Hook & Hackle. But like I said, they are all great and can get you where you need to be. Re: supplies

The reel seat can usually be removed by dipping in boiliing water to soften the bond.Depends on the type(graphite, brass, wood etc..).If the grips are EVA(foam) you may be able to replace them without removing the seat. With the price of reel seats(unless its a special fly rod seat) I usually cut them off with the dremel and replace it(most times no more than $10.00).As for supplies seee the list on the left and contact some for catalogs, you can maybre then make a decision as to who you would like to deal with. They are all dedicated and do a fine job. RodMaker volume 7 #1 had an in-depth article on building surf rods.

Get Tom Kirkman's book, "Rodbuilding Guide" from one of the sponsors. An excellent how-to book aimed at beginners. Does not cover repairs, but you can get your answers to that here on the board. Re: supplies
