I got a guy that wants a hypalon grip on his flyrod. Problem is, the butt dia. is 0.340 and I can not find a long enoung piece of 1/4" ID. I figured out that 3/8" is too big. Is a 24" X 2" X 2" block my only resort? My appreciation in advance, JC Re: Small ID Hypalon for fly rod

Jim,
Wouldn't care for hypalon on a fly grip myself but if the cusomer had to have it and I were building the rod I woud build up an arbor with fiberglass tape and fit the 3/8 grip to it with plenty of adhesive. Re: Small ID Hypalon for fly rod

thin ID Hypalon can be found out WEst. MAybe Louis from Badfish. MAybe Squidco. Maybe some ther shop, I forget.
THat 1/2" ID Hypalon everyone carries does no good on the thin as heck GUSA's. More peoplea re going to start stocking the thinner ID HYpalon. Or at least it would be nice if they did.
