Gatti spinning blanks

A few weeks ago I had asked if anyone had any remarks good or bad on Gatti spinning blanks with no reply. I am asking again! If no remarks I guess I'll rest my case and leave it alone because I believe in this forum. Thanks Rick

They're probably fine, but it may be that not many have used them, yet.

Tom I feel that too ,however I have read on the flyrod blanks they seem very fragile and not much luck with them. Breaking is the problem.I Don't know. Maybe I'll go for it and then let everyone else know later. Thank You

I've had one (I think 6-12# 2-piece) sitting in the corner since December. Maybe I should get around to building it? It's a beautiful blue/green color...not sure what color wraps to go with. I also thought about using an aluminum fly seat. I've not done that before and wonder about the practicality? A blank this nice deserves something a little out of the ordinary. Any ideas?

Hmm...maybe dark or cobalt blue w/o CP and metallic gold trim? Or silver trim with a silver seat & titanium guides? Or graphite seat w/gold hoods & the gold trim? Oh geeze too many choices!

REC has a new line of spinning reel seats, wood/ aluminum skeleton or all aluminum. The thread combos used on the 2003 Forecast DB blanks sound like they might work here also. A search of the archives will pull them up. Sulky and Madeira threads will give you a huge variety of shades to match the rod color also.
